Creating Brown Paper Art

Creating my paper art paintings is a work of love!

I start with a piece of recycled brown paper and slowly add each layer of paint, inks and dyes to build a unique piece.

It usually takes around four days to build approximately 7 layers.

I love that something quite beautiful can be made from our recycling efforts.

And then each painting can be created into functional items that we can use in a way that is tactile...

books are held, carried, treasured and loved!

I have included a few images below to enable you to peek into the creation process.  Enjoy!
